Ophthalmic Imaging adds Greer, Phillips to board

Ophthalmic Imaging Systems (OIS), a Sacramento, Calif.-based digital imaging firm, has appointed Jonathan Phillips and William Greer as independent members of its board of directors. Phillips and Greer replace Michael Benoff and Merle Symes on the board, effective immediately.

Greer is currently the president and CEO of Montreal-based RIS and PACS provider Evolved Digital Systems. Phillips is currently a managing director and founder of Healthcare Growth Partners, a strategic and financial advisory services firm for healthcare technology companies.

Benoff served on the company’s board since July 2004 and Symes served since July 2005. The former directors both decided to step down from the board in order to pursue other interests, according to OIS.
