Orthocrat, TeraRecon merge orthopedic templating technologies

CHICAGO—Orthocrat unveiled an integration of its 3D orthopedic templating with TeraRecon’s Aquarius iNtuition visualization platform at the 94th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) this week.

“With 3D templating using CT images, especially coupled with the ability to see the results in 3D, the surgeon can have a more precise understanding of the surgery,” said Doron Norman, MD, chairman of orthopedics at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, and medical director and co-founder of the Haifa, Israel-based Orthocrat.

Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat’s CEO, said that the company chose to integrate with TeraRecon’s Aquarius iNtuition visualization platform because it will “allow any hospital which already has the Aquarius iNtuition solution to expand the capabilities it can offer to its orthopedic surgeons.”
