Siemens updates Soarian Clinicals

Siemens Healthcare has updated its Soarian Clinicals web-based health information system.

New features include software that allows healthcare organizations to integrate electronic medication reconciliation into their workflow for patient medication information and to maintain accuracy as therapies and care settings change, according to the Malvern, Pa.-based company.

The latest version also has computerized physician order entry capabilities that enable physicians to preset their personal order favorites and conduct clinical checking by specialty, Siemens added.

Finally, the new release allows physicians to create and view a Continuity of Care Document where longitudinal patient summary information, such as demographics, medications, allergies and medical problems, can be captured, stored and shared across the organization and among various caregivers, the company said.
