Agfa integrates echocardiography module with Impax

Dec. 6 – Agfa HealthCare is showcasing its Impax Cardiovascular Suite with an integrated Echocardiography module for the first time at the EuroEcho, this week in Lisbon, Portugal.

Agfa said the enhancement allows structured reports to be created and distributed, and images to be accessed from in-hospital or remote locations. The Echocardiography module can generate natural language reports in a wide variety of languages, facilitating information sharing between cardiologist, referring physician and patient, Agfa said.

The new module also offers a colorful, graphical presentation of measurement data, which aids trending analysis and follow up. The company also said its informatics features of the Impax Cardiovascular Suite include integration with PACS, modalities, and hemodynamic systems; as well as interfaces and connectivity to hospital information systems; and automated and customized submission to European and national registries.
