Agfa lands multi-site installs in Ireland

Imaging and health IT developer Agfa HealthCare has installed Impax 6 PACS and its fifth generation RIS at four of Alliance Medical's 11 sites across Ireland.

The implemented systems include voice recognition technology and the company's Mediweb technology, enabling electronic clinical referrals and results distribution to referrals over the Internet. In addition, via a partnership with Cork, Ireland-based Internet services provider Strencom, the four facilities will now be provided with cloud services, said the Mortsel, Belgium-based company.
