SIIM to offer Imaging Informatics Bootcamp, CIIP Forum
The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) will deliver education essential for imaging informatics professionals (IIP) and their organizations at its 2011 annual meeting, June 2 to 5, in Washington, D.C.
A pre-conference Imaging Informatics Bootcamp targets not only IIPs to help them prepare for the American Board of Imaging Informatics IIP certification exam; but also physicians, residents, administrators, physicists, IT managers, technologists and engineers who are looking to gain a stronger understanding of the fundamentals of the PACS environment and the competencies and skills required for practicing and administering imaging enterprise management systems. The IIP Bootcamp, a full-day training course on June 1, provides a preview of the more in-depth education that occurs throughout the SIIM 2011 annual meeting.
The 2011 meeting incorporates eight learning tracks focused on using informatics and health IT to deal with real-world concerns. This year’s tracks are advanced visualization tools, interoperability and integration, image sharing, improving efficiency inside the reading room, communication, business analytics, imaging in the subspecialties and new archival and storage models.
