California health system picks Picis info management technology

Clinical and financial IT provider Picis has been selected by St. Joseph Health System (SJHS) in Orange, Calif., for its perioperative and anesthesia information management technology to be implemented across the system's 13 facilities and estimated 81 operating rooms.

The multi-site implementation will consolidate six SJHS databases into one system and the Picis technology will capture, compare, benchmark and share data across the health system. In addition,  the implementation will facilitate operational changes from operating room management, billing and reimbursement and standardization of the patient record, said the Wakefield, Mass-based company.
