Cegedim acquires Swiss business unit of IMS Health

Cegedim has acquired the Switzerland-based customer relationship management and direct marketing business unit of IMS Health, which will complement its Swiss CRM and direct marketing offerings. Financial details were not disclosed.

The acquired businesses will be folded into the Zurich division of Cegedim Dendrite, which is based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Cegedim Dendrite already supplies services (including OneKey database, CRM, marketing and compliance technologies) to more than 600 users in the Swiss pharmaceutical industry.

According to Cegedim, the businesses were acquired by internal financing and will contribute to the group’s consolidated results from the second quarter of 2010.
