GNAX & Acuo to offer cloud storage

Global Net Access (GNAX) has teamed up with Acuo Technologies to introduce a cloud-based service for image storage and viewing, the companies said.

GNAX, which offers HIE and image storage products, will manage the archiving lifecycle, normalize images into a standard format and store them in a redundant cloud. The Atlanta-based healthcare technology company and Bloomington, Minn.-based Acuo will offer the service as a pay-as-you-go plan, while allowing free customer sharing of images with third parties, such as referring physicians and patients.
