HIMSS: Merge's iConnect gets interoperability thumbs up

Merge Healthcare featured its health IT interoperability platform, including iConnect, which recently passed conformance testing at the IHE North American Connectathon in January.

iConnect Access participated as an IHE compliant XDS Image Viewer, while Merge’s eMPI was tested as an IHE PIX Manager and IHE PDQ Supplier. Both products successfully completed all testing, including security requirements as defined by the IHE ATNA profile, and interoperability measures with more than 30 other vendor products and solutions during the Connectathon. This success qualified Merge to be part of the 2011 HIMSS IHE Interoperability Showcase, demonstrating products in numerous “real-life” situations within the showcase.

“Image interoperability is critical to delivering true coordinated care”, said Jeff Surges, Merge’s CEO. “We’re certainly proud of thoroughly passing all IHE conformance testing for our iConnect platform.”
