Intelerad to offer referring physician portal

Intelerad is launching InteleConnect, a referring physician portal that allows radiology groups to notify referrers of critical results and deliver reports on thin clients and mobile devices.

The browser-based application reaches referring physicians connected to mobile devices and smart phones, such as iPad, iPhone, Android and Blackberry, according to Montreal-based Intelerad. It allows communication of radiology results to any location, from patient bedsides to home offices.

InteleConnect provides media-rich reports for various modalities, interactive 2D and 3D images, audio reports, patient search, email notifications for critical results and status updates of ordered requisitions, said Intelerad. The HIPAA-compliant application allows relevant patient cases to be shared within a physician’s practice.
