Intermedix snaps up revenue cycle management firm

CMBS develops revenue cycle management services for hospital-based emergency physicians, focused on coding, billing and reimbursement services.

Bryan Vinyard and Robert Thomas, co-founders of CMBS, will join the Intermedix team. Vinyard will serve as executive vice president of the Intermedix emergency department revenue cycle management unit. Thomas will become a senior vice president of operations.

The companies plan to integrate their respective technologies and services, said Ken Cooke, president of the Intermedix revenue cycle management business.
