NCI acquires CSC's AdvanceMed unit

NCI has acquired the outstanding capital stock of AdvanceMed, an affiliate of CSC, for $62 million.

AdvanceMed provides healthcare program integrity services for detection and prevention of fraud, waste and abuse in healthcare programs, as well as investigative services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), according to NCI, a Reston, Va.-based provider of IT, engineering, logistics and professional services to federal agencies.

AdvanceMed has multiple contracts with CMS under the Zone Program Integrity (ZPIC), Program Safeguard (PSC), Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) and Medicaid Integrity (MIC) programs.
