Nevada card group merges with HealthCare Partners
HealthCare Partners of Nevada merged with Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada to create Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada HealthCare Partners Cardiology. The merger, announced April 19, went into effect April 17.
Las Vegas-based HealthCare Partners of Nevada, an affiliate of HealthCare Partners in Torrance, Calif., is a network of more than 240 primary care physicians and more than 1,300 specialists serving Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump and Boulder City. The 20-physician Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada manages six cardiovascular clinics in southern Nevada.
Stephen J. Portz, MD, chief of cardiology for HealthCare Partners, said in a statement that the combined clinics will improve access to care and provide new clinic options for patients in southern Nevada. David Navratil, MD, chairman of the board of Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada, added that the two medical groups had worked collaboratively for years, and that by combining resources they should be able to enhance the quality of cardiovascular care in the community.
