Siemens highlights CT offerings at SCCT

Siemens Healthcare sponsored a series of symposia and showcased its most recent CT scanner and image interpretation software at this year’s meeting of the Society of Cardiovascular CT (SCCT) in Denver, July 14-17.

Siemens’ Somatom Definition Flash dual-source CT scanner enables quicker acquisition speed, improved temporal resolution and decreased radiation doses for cardiac CT exams, the company stated. In stride with the Somatom CT, Siemens highlighted its Worldwide Dose Counter website, which displays live radiation dose statistics from Somatom Definition Flash scanners.

Siemens also demonstrated its syngo.via Cardio-Vascular Engine software, which provides anatomical evaluation, quantification and functional assessment of CT angiography images, the Erlangen, Germany-based company added.
