Thermo Fisher Scientific acquires TREK Diagnostic Systems

Thermo Fisher Scientific has acquired TREK Diagnostic Systems from Magellan Biosciences.

Cleveland-based TREK Diagnostic Systems, a provider of microbiology platforms, including blood culture, microorganism identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing products, currently serves pharmaceutical and clinical laboratory markets and will be integrated into Thermo Fisher’s Analytical Technologies Segment, according to the Waltham, Mass.-based developer of scientific technology.
