A4 nets HealthMatics EDIS install

A4 Health Systems installed its HealthMatics ED Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) at Baptist Health Systems of Jackson, Miss., to automate Baptist Medical Center's expanding ED.

The implementation will automate Baptist Medical Center's entire ED workflow, including patient registration, triage, tracking, nursing and physician charting, disposition, charge capture and reporting.

According to A4, HealthMatics ED will integrate with Baptist Medical Center's hospital information system, radiology system, and clinical data repository by McKesson Corp, and laboratory system by SCC Soft Computer, by 2005.
