Agfa brings document management technology to U.K.

Diagnostic imaging and IT company Agfa HealthCare has launched its document management system for healthcare organizations, HYDMedia, in the U.K.

The system—which has been used in Germany, Switzerland and Austria--will allow U.K. healthcare facilities to digitally archive healthcare information including paper-based documents, laboratory data and diagnostic images to provide a single view of the clinical and administrative record via a web-based portal, stated the Mortsel, Belgium-based company.
