MediNotes upgrades MediNotes Clinician

MediNotes has released a new upgrade for its MediNotes Clinician, a .Net-based, EHR and practice management (PM) system.

According to the West Des Moines, Iowa-based company, the upgraded version, which offers e-prescribing, patient portals, patient kiosks, image management and a web portal, includes:
  • An interface between MediNotes Clinician PM and MediNotes e, which provides an administrative/financial solution via practice management functionality to MediNotes e for small practices;
  • Template building according to discipline-specific workflows while adhering to insurance and regulatory guidelines;
  • Claims enhancements to strengthen the existing audit trail and alert users to items that may need immediate attention; and
  • Laboratory order enhancements to ease the entry process by promoting patient safety and minimizing the risk of legal exposure.
