MD Anderson to install Carestream RIS

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston has purchased Carestream Health’s RIS.

Carestream RIS comes equipped with business intelligence tools and built-in critical results reporting, as well as a native American College of Radiology (ACR) peer review module and structured reporting, the Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream said. A spokesperson from MD Anderson expressed the institution’s hope that the system would improve productivity and workflow by way of increased automation and the elimination of independently operating systems.
