Carestream releases tabletop CR imaging system

Carestream Health has released a new tabletop computed radiography (CR) system, the Carestream Directview Vita CR System.

The 79-pound imaging system can eventually be bundled with Image Suite, which will allow the Directview to capture, view, print and manage images, the company said.

The system includes a “smart erase” feature that automatically determines exposure levels and adjusts erase cycle times. Carestream said that it is marketing the Vita CR primarily to smaller health clinics and practices.
