CDC taps CACI for IT infrastructure

CACI International (CACI) has been awarded a contract to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) IT infrastructure work under the overall CDC Information Management Services contract. The 10-year, multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a ceiling value of $1 billion.

The CIMS effort covers information and data analysis, requirements analysis, design and development of new systems, system security, modifications to existing systems, database administration and user training, according to CACI.

The Arlington, Va.-based company provides professional services and IT software for defense, intelligence and homeland security as well as IT modernization services. CACI will provide support at the CDC's main campus in Atlanta as well as its offices globally.

The company will assist CDC in its efforts to gather health information in near-real time, develop analytic tools and enhance public health and community collaboration, according to CACI.
