Continuum Health Partners adopt McKesson PACS
IT company McKesson has signed an agreement with New York-based Continuum Health Partners to replace multiple medical imaging systems with a single integrated imaging solution.
Continuum will deploy the San Francisco-based company’s Horizon Medical Imaging PACS across Continuum’s nonprofit hospital system consisting of five hospitals within New York City’s boroughs.
St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, which is a 1,076-bed operation comprised of two locations in Midtown and the Upper West Side of Manhattan, will upgrade to the newest version of Horizon Medical Imaging to become the first Continuum facility to deploy the system. According to the company, Beth Israel Medical Center and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary will soon follow to completely replace their existing PACS systems with new McKesson technology.
According to the company, the implementation and integration of Horizon Medical Imaging will allow radiologists to read studies in real-time and from any one location, no matter where the exam was performed.
