Frazier buys CareFusion Onsite Services unit

CareFusion has sold its OnSite Services instrument management and repair business to affiliates of Frazier Healthcare. Financial terms of the agreement were not released.

The companies previously announced plans for the sale on Jan. 11.

OnSite Services provides medical instrument repair and instrument management programs to hospital systems across the U.S. The new company and its 240 employees will continue to deliver operating-room focused workflow improvement programs.

Under the terms of the agreement between CareFusion and OnSite Services, OnSite Services will remain the preferred repair organization for CareFusion's V. Mueller sterlization container system and Snowden-Pencer specialty surgical instruments.
