HealthTrust awards 3-year agreement to GE

HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) has awarded a contract to GE Healthcare to make its advanced imaging technologies available to the thousands of patients HPG serves. The award situates GE as the contract vendor for HPG's more than 1,500 hospitals, surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers and physicians for a three-year period.

The agreement covers systems mammography, ultrasound, computer technology (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), nuclear medicine, angiography labs, cardiac cath labs, portable and general x-ray, and radiography and flouroscopy.

GE Healthcare currently provides radiology, cardiology, bone mineral densitometry, surgical c-arms, anesthesia and monitoring products and services as part of existing contacts with HPG.
