Misys lands 14 EMR installs

Misys Healthcare Systems has upped the installed base of its EMR (electronic medical records) technology after announcing this week that 14 medical practices across the United States have recently added or signed on to implement the system.

Misys EMR automates record-keeping processes and enables physicians to retrieve and input patient data from a PC, handheld or wireless device. The product -- which is part of the Misys Optimum family of products - provides electronic capabilities for routine tasks related to clinical data, such as transcription, imaging, orders management, messaging and prescription writing.

The 14 practices include:
  • Terry Allen MD & Scott Forrest MD, PLLC (Fairfax, Va.)

  • Bernier & Parris MDS (Panama City, Fla.)

  • Dr. Lori Coe (Rural Hall, N.C.)

  • Cornerstone Medical Care of Brandon (Brandon, Fla.)
