NovaRad nabs four Georgia RIS, PACS deals

Four Georgia medical facilities have selected NovaRad as their imaging technology provider for RIS and PACS solutions.

The institutions are:
  • Augusta Back Spine Center in Augusta, which purchased NovaPACS;
  • Bleckley Memorial Hospital in Cochran, which purchased NovaRIS and NovaPACS;
  • Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, which purchased NovaRIS and NovaPACS; and
  • Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, which purchased NovaPACS.
The contracts were facilitated by iPro, a distributor for NovaRad. The new contracts bring NovaRad’s total number of installations in Georgia to 17, the company said.

NovaPACS is NovaRad’s enterprise-level PACS offering image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface and seven-year, on-site archive with off-site emergency backup. Full-screen viewing, menus and mouse-based functions are available to help referring physicians’ access images and reports from any computer, according to the American Fork, Utah-based company.

NovaRIS is a web-based, open-standards RIS that generates reports, analyzes exams, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records. NovaRIS is developed on the same platform as NovaPACS. Together, the systems enable retrieval of images and information from web-enabled computers, NovaRad said.
