NovaRad scores latest Ortho install in Texas

Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital of Bedford, Texas, has completed installation of TraumaCad orthopedic template and planning tool software on 11 workstations with an interface to its existing PACS. The hospital purchased TraumaCad from NovaRad Corp., developer of NovaPACS and distributor of the TraumaCad product developed by Orthocrat.

Designed specifically for orthopedic surgeons, TraumaCad enables surgeons to develop a pre-operative surgery plan procedures including manipulation of orthopedic digital images using image processing technique techniques, reduction of fractures, and application of suitable fixation systems or prosthetic systems, said NovaRad. Featuring a complete template library including screws, nails, plates, and prosthesis devices, the software offers procedure simulation capabilities for fracture reduction, and osteotomy applications.
