RadCare selects Carestream PACS

RadCare has purchased Carestream Health’s SuperPACS Architecture.

The radiology division of Dallas-based EmCare, a provider of physician services, selected Carestream’s PACS to supply capabilities for a streamlined workflow engine to produce a single patient worklist, and provide embedded voice recognition and the ability to interface with multiple PACS at various healthcare facilities.

The workflow engine powered by SuperPACS Architecture allows radiology groups and healthcare providers to create an efficient workflow for reading imaging exams conducted at multiple sites with disparate PACS. The architecture adeptly manages multiple patient identifiers using IHE profiles. On-site or remote radiologists can read for multiple sites from a common user interface and single set of applications, according to the Rochester, N.Y.-based imaging systems and healthcare IT company.
