RaySearch and Varian revamp strategic collaboration

Medical technology company RaySearch Laboratories has announced a restructuring of its license agreement with medical device and software manufacturer Varian Medical Systems.

The new terms of the contract will include an additional product, as well as strengthen the collaborative product development efforts and facilitate the addition of new capabilities and features to Varian's Eclipse treatment planning system. The system currently encompasses three RaySearch developments, including tools for biological evaluation, biological optimization and conformal optimization, said the Stockholm-based company.
