RSNA: Barco releases 10 MP display

Barco (Booth 9114) is launching its 10 megapixel Coronis Fusion 10MP display system at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

The new system, which has obtained FDA 510(k) clearance, expands on earlier Coronis Fusion displays with the addition of SmoothGray technology, according to Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco.

Coronis Fusion 10 MP provides 4096 x 2560 resolution and targets high-resolution grayscale applications including chest, bone and breast imaging. SmoothGray presents grayscale images in a palette of Just Noticeable Differences adapted to the sensitivity of the human eye, Barco stated.

Coronis Fusion 10 MP will become commercially available in the first quarter of 2011.
