Thomas Berquist to retire as editor of AJR in 2020
Thomas H. Berquist, MD, will step down from his position as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) after 12 years at the journal, according to an AJR statement.
While his retirement will not go into effect until June 2020, the society is encouraging a wide variety of radiology professionals to apply. The application is available on their website, and must be submitted by Dec. 15, 2018.
“The society would like the search to be as broad and inclusive as possible, and applications are encouraged from throughout the radiology community,” according to AJR’s website. “The new editor must be an internationally recognized author in radiology with a strong background in medical writing and editing and with the ability to articulate and maintain an editorial vision, climate, and philosophy that foster growth in quality submissions and in readership.”
