TomoTherapy wins veterinary medicine school Hi-Art install
TomoTherapy plans to install its Hi-Art advanced radiation therapy system at the University of Wisconsin (UW)-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.

Upon completion of installation, this will be the first TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system in the world to be used for veterinary medicine, according to TomoTherapy.

The Hi-Art treatment system will be installed in a new school wing, whose construction will begin in the fall of 2008, the Madison, Wis.-based company said.

Treatments are expected to start in late 2009 or early 2010, which the university said it expects to translate into new therapies for human cancer patients.
