Toshiba lands DR install with Miami Childrens Hospital
The Miami Children’s Hospital in South Florida has installed Toshiba America Medical System’s Infinix CF-i bi-plane system to obtain images during hybrid catheterization procedures.
The new system, equipped with a CAT-880B hybrid catheterization table, combines a five-axis positioner with titling and cradling features of the table to obtain optimal patient images on all patients—newborns to young adults—in the cath lab.
Additionally, the system can create 180 degree patient access from a rotating floor-mounted C-arm and its ergonomic design allows for physicians to obtain numerous image angles during interventional procedures without the need for patient repositioning, Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba said.
