Xanser's Xtria lands $5.2 million management contract

Xtria LLC, a subsidiary of Xanser Corp. has been awarded a $5.2 million contract to provide managed services supporting the digital imaging environment at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo, Ind.
   
Under terms of the agreement, Xtria will manage Howard's digital imaging environment including the selection and acquisition of a PACS, implementation services, system and help desk support, on-going management, and on-site support.  
   
Howard has taken an enterprise-wide approach to PACS - radiology, cardiology, surgical, oncology. By streamlining the delivery of images in these services along with the accompanying workflow, Howard believes it will realize numerous benefits such as enhanced communication of clinical results, increased efficiency of resources and reduced healthcare costs, Xtria said.
