New details are emerging from a homicide in a Cincinnati neighborhood, where a dismembered torso was discovered in November and a head later found in January.

Hamilton County coroner and radiologist Lakshmi Sammarco, MD, utilized CT scans and DNA tests to gather evidence, and says she can now confirm that the body parts belonged to the same woman. The victim remains unidentified, though investigators now have more details on who she was. 

While it was initially assumed the Black woman was under 30 years of age, it is now believed she could be as old as 50. Further, Sammarco estimates she was likely about 5-foot-1 and weighed between 110 and 120 pounds. There is no sign of tattoos or noteworthy markings on the body.

Imaging suggests she may have been pregnant within the last two years, but it's unclear what became of the pregnancy. Utilizing available evidence, investigators are working to generate a digital recreation of her face, in hopes the public can identify her.

As initially reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer, it is still believed the woman was killed Nov. 3 or 4. The investigation is ongoing, with both the coroner and police continuing to search for clues.
