Toshiba highlights Vital partnership at ACC, x-ray software at SIR

Toshiba America Medical Systems showed its volume CT system paired with Vital Images software and vascular x-ray system at recent scientific meetings.

Toshiba unveiled Aquilion ONE dynamic volume CT system, combined with Vital Images’ CT Myocardial Analysis software, which provides clinicians with images of both cardiac anatomy and function for cardiac ischemia diagnoses at the 61st annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) March 24-27, in Chicago.

Toshiba’s Aquilion ONE and CT Myocardial Analysis can be used to visualize coronary anatomy and pathology and to assess the presence of hypo- or hyper-dense areas of myocardial tissue, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba.

The company also introduced software for its Infinix-i vascular X-ray systems at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting, March 24-29, in San Francisco. According to Toshiba, the software enables high-speed 3D reconstruction and low-contrast imaging with unrestricted patient access.
