Advanced Input Systems introduces new keyboard
Advanced Input Systems has developed a line of infection-control keyboards for medical environments to address studies that have shown keyboards to be a source of bacterial cross-contamination. The new Medigenic Essential keyboard is the latest in the series and can be cleaned in place with any hospital grade disinfectants, according to the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based company.
Al Yost, president of Advanced Input, said that “the Essential is a cost-effective alternative to conventional keyboards that are nearly impossible to clean and keyboard covers that impede typing speed and accuracy.”
Advanced Input Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of Esterline Technologies Corporation, manufacturing standard and custom control panels and input systems for medical capital equipment providers.
