Philips MR adds Cedara Software

Cedara Software Corp. will supply Philips Medical Systems with imaging technologies and related support services for Philips' MR systems. Cedara estimates the minimum contract value at approximately $2.7 million.

Cedara says its imaging software is used in some 20,000 patient imaging systems and 4,600 picture archiving and communications system (PACS) workstations worldwide. The products are designed to enhance workflow, data and image management, integration, the web, software components and professional services. The software is used in all aspects of clinical workflow, including the capture of patient digital images; the sharing and archiving of images; sophisticated tools to analyze and manipulate images; and even the use of imaging in surgery.
