Intelerad highlights PACS viewer at AHRA 2004

Intelerad Medical Systems Inc. featured its IntelePACS InteleViewer this week at the AHRA 2004 meeting in Boston. The technology initially debuted at the 21st Symposium on Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) in May in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

IntelePACS InteleViewer is a rapid-access web-based DICOM viewer based on the JPEG 2000 technology. The application is launched with the InteleBrowser Web interface. According to Intelerad, the viewer is designed to enhance image manipulation, workflow and communication with referring physicians.

New to the InteleViewer are: image selection and annotation tools; intelligent auto-window-leveling algorithms; enhancements to its advanced Layout Manager and the ability to create 'virtual series'; WYSIWYG postscript printing and JPEG exporting; the ability to drag-and-drop and select thumbnail image series; and a broad range of new user-specific preferences.
