Siemens to tap growing Mideast countries

Siemens is launching operations in select Gulf countries to target a market of nearly $5.3 million per year.

In January, Siemens formed Siemens IT Solutions and Services, which will begin serving the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen markets in October.

In the region, Siemens will specialize in IT integration projects in industries such as medical systems, communications, transportation, power generation, automation and drives, lighting and financial services.
