Bederra subsidiary to offer nuc med services

Lumar Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of medical imaging and diagnostic provider Bederra, has entered into a joint venture agreement with Advanced Nuclear Consultants, a provider of refurbished nuclear gamma cameras.

According to the agreement, Lumar's facility will offer nuclear imaging services for cardiac, bone, brain, thyroid, gastrointestinal and other specialized imaging tests, the Houston-based Bederra said.

Advanced Nuclear Consultants of Houston provides sales, service and technical support for nuclear imaging systems, specializing in nuclear medicine consulting for private practice, diagnostic imaging centers and hospitals.

Lumar is a six-year-old facility that provides MRI, CT, ultrasound and pain management services to the Houston area, and was acquired by Bederra in March.
