Bycast releases upgraded storage grid

Bycast introduced its StorageGRID 8 storage virtualization software that stores, protects and preserves healthcare digital data and images at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago last week.

For organizations that depend on access to mission-critical data, Bycast said that its StorageGRID minimizes the risk of data loss, corruption or service interruption by protecting data. StorageGRID helps organizations optimize storage resources by treating them as a single, centrally managed pool of storage.

The software is sold through storage vendors and interfaces with PACS, such as Agfa HealthCare, Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, McKesson, Philips Healthcare, GE Healthcare and Siemens Healthcare.
