Merge Healthcare releases updated DICOM toolkit

Merge Healthcare, a medical imaging solutions provider, has released its MergeCOM-3 Version 3.9, which adds DICOM standard supplements to its DICOM toolkit.

The company said that version 3.9 contains support for new standard supplements for nuclear medicine (supplement 117), pathology (supplement 122) and ophthalmology (supplement 130), supporting the adoption of DICOM into new imaging areas.

In addition, the Milwaukee-based Merge provides flexibility for developers to work in different programming platforms, specifically in the .Net and 64-bit environments. The company’s updated toolkit is now available in Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, Linux and UNIX operating systems; and C/C++, C#/.Net and Java programming platforms.
