MinXray installs portable x-ray system at Nigeria medical clinic
MinXray has installed portable x-ray equipment along with a CR system at the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Center in Zaria, Nigeria.
The MinXray imaging equipment, the first to be used at the facility in more than 30 years, included MinXray’s HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus, which produces up to 120 kVDC and more than 200 mAs, and features five memory stations to store and easily recall frequently used exposure techniques, according to the Northbrook, Ill.-based company.
The clinic also installed a Carestream POC 260 CR system that enables all imaging functions to be performed at the point of patient care and includes the single-plate CR reader, Kodak flexible phosphor screens, advanced image management software and a PC-based review station, MinXray said.
The equipment was purchased by non-governmental organizations that received funds from the U.S. Department of State.
