ODS Medical unveils new CD/DVD distribution system

ODS Medical has introduced its PACScomm Ultra, a CD/DVD image storage and distribution system with 10 terabytes (TB) of storage and Blu-Ray disc support.

The Columbia, Md.-based ODS said its PACScomm Ultra combines an online archive appliance with CD distribution with up to 10 TB of offline archive capability. With the Ultra, DICOM images can be received or pushed from any networked modalities, using integrated Blu-Ray disc or CD/DVD. The Ultra’s software combined with offline storage delivers a full DICOM image recording and distribution system, with scalable RAID storage.

The PACScomm Ultra system features include dual burners, a color inkjet printer and Primera XRP robotics, the company said.
