Chicago imaging centers pick eRad PACS

eRad has received an order for its eRad PACS from the Lincoln Imaging Centers of Chicago.

The installation will include all sites of MRI Lincoln Imaging and Preferred Open MRI, which are imaging services providers serving the Chicago area.

“Lincoln is a particularly interesting implementation which will employ the eRAD Worklist Server configuration with multiple clusters, each having its own study archive and using a shared disaster recovery back-up. Combine this with use of eRAD’s integrated speech recognition capabilities and HL-7 interface to a legacy RIS, and Lincoln will have…digital workflow capability,” said Mike Young, vice president of client services for eRAD.

Lincoln will be operational with eRAD PACS in early 2009, according to the Greenville, S.C.-based company.
