FIMI Philips chooses Matrox Xenia Series

FIMI Medical Display Solutions will be shipping Xenia Series display controller boards from Matrox Graphics for use with its MML2032 and MML2152 grayscale medical LCD monitors.

"As medical imaging workstation technology evolves, users demand a PCI Express board solution for PACS workstations," said Carlo Martignoni, account manager medical displays at the Amsterdam, Netherlands-based FIMI, a Royal Philips Electronics company.

The Montrel-based Matrox said its Xenia board is the first native PCI Express single-slot board with all-digital, triple-monitor output and the flexibility to drive any display configuration. Xenia PRO supports resolutions from under 1 megapixel up to 8 megapixels, with up to 1 gigabyte of on-board memory, and features Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs for display calibration.
