ASRT offers CT training module

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has designed a series of learning modules for aspiring CT technologists.

The complete CT basics package offers images and animations to guide participants using the modality, which covers topics including fundamentals of CT, equipment and instrumentation; data acquisition, applications, imaging processing and reconstruction; patient safety, imaging quality, procedures, as well as sectional anatomy and pathology. The participant is able to select which topics pertain to them, said the Albuquerque, N.M.-based society.

According to the ASRT, each module will allow practicing technologists to earn at least one Category A continuing education credit upon completion, and participants who successfully complete all the modules will earn 14 continuing education credits and a diploma from the society recognizing their achievement.
