ASTRO's annual meeting kicks off this weekend

The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) will kick off its 45th annual meeting this weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, Nov. 19 through Nov. 23.

ASTRO anticipates more than 10,000 participants this year.

The five-day program includes more than 110 concurrent sessions, technical exposition and the opportunity for medical professionals to receive continuing medical education credits related to radiation oncology, as well as surgical and medical oncology.

The conference is held in conjunction with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists' 27th annual Radiation Therapy Conference and the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators (SROA).
